Words from the winemakers:
Odile’s tasting notes: “A fresh red, bright and crunchy, with a delicate floral profile of lavender and violet, red fruit of raspberry and cherry, and fine acidity and minerality”. And from Paolo: “cherry, brambly, red hard candy, bright and tense”.

Grapes - a blend of red Douro Valley varietals, including Touriga Franca and Bastardo
Terroir - Touriga Franca is Douro's most planted grape variety and grows very well in our local Tedo Valley's soils and climate. Bastardo (Trousseau Noir from Jura) found its way into Douro’s old-vine field blends centuries ago and is delicate and early ripening.
Winemaking - Fermented partially whole-cluster partially de-stemmed whole berries with native yeasts in a small open-top inox tank. Initial foot-treading, followed by delicate hand punchdowns and bucket remontages towards the end of fermentation. Drained and pneamatically pressed before dry, with the end of fermentation followed by malolactic conversion in a used oak and glass Wine Globe. Unfined and unfiltered.
